Sex Doll Maintenance Q&A
Will fake leather or PVC stain the TPE skin?
1. Be careful with the fake leather or “pleather”. One of my dolls had a black leather cape and when I opened the box and got the doll, her back was completely dyed with black! I had to wait for a few weeks before it disappeared.
Another experience with black leather I had was with my 1/6 scale Elvis Presley toy. He was wearing his black leather jacket and when I rolled up his sleeves, I saw that the jacket has mildly stained his arms!
2. I personally would be very careful and would certainly not want to leave them on her for too long.
3. I have a PVC bustier that I’m lining with uncolored canvas and I think that will be enough of a blocker.
PVC/Latex will be destroyed by TPE oil in short order unless you use a serious barrier. I had my doll in some PVC hose for a photoshoot using a pair of white hose as an under the liner and though they were on only for the shoot, I saw no damage that way. However, in experiments I did without a barrier, the PVC started to “crinkle” in minutes.
Is it safe to leave a lot of mineral oil in the cavities? Will the TPE absorb it or will it cause mold to form?
1. It shouldn’t cause mold to form but it isn’t good for the TPE to get oversaturated in oil.
2. Clean the orifices as usual and afterward make the orifices completely dry. There are bacteria, microorganisms, and mold that are able to split hydrocarbons (= baby oil, vaseline, mineral oil) and taking them as nutrients. And the mold is able to grow into silicone and TPE, also with the method to split hydrocarbons as nutrients.
Our human body is losing thousands of skin scales per day. And while having sex you are also losing skin scales from your penis. These skin scales are also nutrients and food for normal bacteria and germs. And because of the situation that these skin scales are also dead organic material, it is starting to decay over time, producing a very ugly smell.
Now you have a combination of mineral oil, bacteria, microorganisms, germs, fungus + skin scales as dead organic material, all together as “bio mush in an orifice” (which itself is made of hydrocarbons).
And because of the situation that you are not cleaning the orifice, you would smear that “bio mush” also on your penis while having sex with the TPE doll.
Can you apply white powder on the tan dolls? Is there a certain powder you use on the tan dolls?
1. I just use regular Argo cornstarch on my WM doll which is a shade or 2 darker than regular tan. The doll needs to be completely dry before application and a light dusting is all it takes, spread evenly with a big make-up brush. I do get visible powder streaks from time to time, but a barely damp cloth soon remedies that.
2. Mine are both tan, I also use Argo. When there’s a pronounced spot I found massaging it takes it away.
3. I heard someone once added cocoa powder into their baby powder for their darker-skinned dolls.
4. As long as it’s not the sweetened kind, cocoa powder is okay.
How to remove the lint and hair on the face of my TPE sex doll?
1. The best thing I’ve found to use is some decent quality cotton makeup swabs and baby oil. Keep in mind that this will also remove any makeup but it will leave you with a clean face. After an hour or so just apply a little powder with a brush to get rid of the tacky feeling.
2. I just damp-wipe the face and spot clean with baby oil, with either a Q-tip or a paper towel wrapped around my index finger. As for powder/cornstarch, I just lightly dust the face with whatever happens to be left on the make-up brush after doing the body.
What materials should be avoided in TPE doll clothes?
1. Staining can be an issue with dark colors. More the dye used than type of fabric though. Tight clothes can leave indentations if left on too long and rough and textured fabrics can cause abrasions. I know the oils in TPE tend to destroy latex, but I’m not sure about polyurethane.
2. I’d avoid anything clothes or accessories(bracelets, necklaces, charms, etc.) made from silicone.
3. Real leather should also be avoided so if you got leather furniture. Put a towel or something for her to sit on. The fishnets could cut into her skin if they’re too tight. The indentions will happen if clothes are too tight but they should go away after a while as long as they didn’t cut into her skin. Left my lady in a lace nighty and in the morning I saw that the lace was imprinted on her back. I left her on her side for a few hours and it went back to normal. Try to have a buffer between materials you think will be harsh on her skin.
4. Stick to lighter colors white, pink, light blue you can dress her in dark colors but don’t leave her in them for long periods to avoid staining. And it’s recommended that you soak new light and dark clothes in hot water for 10 min you’ll see the water change color bc of the excess dye. Keep doing this until the water is clear it could take a few tries until the water is clear.
5. Avoid wool. It’s scratchy and will cause tiny abrasions on the TPE surface.
How to clean the heavy powder residue on the silicone dolls?
1. I use Lysol wipes after my silicone doll dries. I give her a good powdering and she’s good to go. Been doing this for 4 years with no ill effects. I clean her full body every 2 or 3 months. Spot clean as needed.
2. Sponge and warm water is pretty much all it takes. You can use a little soap in the water and clean her in bed no problem if you put her on some towels.
