Doll Lab Ep. 61: Doll Senior Review – Aries Elf Sex Doll With Zodiac Eyes
Have you ever looked at a doll and instantly thought it belonged in a fantasy world instead of sitting on a shelf?
That was my reaction the moment I met Doll Senior Aries. While most brands focus almost entirely on realistic looks, Doll Senior decided to travel a different road. Aries isn’t presented as just another silicone doll. It feels more like a fantasy character that somehow stepped out of an anime series or role-playing game.
As the first release in the Zodiac Series, Aries carries a lot of attention. Alongside Capricorn and Virgo, this character helps introduce a collection built around zodiac-inspired themes rather than pure realism. Since this was our first experience with a Doll Senior product, we were curious to see whether the growing excitement around the brand was justified.
After spending time exploring the doll, checking the details, testing movement, and examining the accessories, one thing became obvious. Doll Senior is trying to create a complete collector experience, not just a product.
Two Beautiful Heads Included with the Current Promotion
One feature that immediately adds value is the free second head promotion.
For our review unit, we received both the Aries sculpt and the popular Linsha head. Switching between them creates two very different personalities, giving collectors more flexibility without requiring an additional purchase.
Both heads use soft silicone and feature implanted brows and lashes. Looking closely inside the mouth reveals impressive craftsmanship, with carefully sculpted teeth, tongue details, and realistic internal structure. Still, the real star is Aries herself.
The eyes feature a zodiac-inspired design with a sparkling pink ring surrounding the iris. The effect creates an enchanting appearance that feels straight out of a fantasy story. It’s artistic. It’s unusual. And it works remarkably well.
Rather than chasing realism alone, Doll Senior blends realism with imagination in a way that feels fresh and memorable.
Body Design and Overall Proportions
At 165cm tall, she’s got that long-leg, slim-waist look that catches your eye right away. The F-cup body adds curves, but it doesn’t push things into cartoon territory.
That’s actually harder to do than it sounds.
Some fantasy-style dolls end up looking too exaggerated, while some realistic dolls can feel a little plain. Aries lands somewhere in the middle, and honestly, that’s probably why she’s memorable.
She feels like a character first and a mannequin second. Small difference. Big impact.
Weight Reduction Makes a Huge Difference
If you’ve ever tried moving a heavy silicone doll around, you already know the struggle. They’re beautiful. They’re also heavy.
Thankfully, Aries comes with Doll Senior’s weight reduction design, bringing the body weight down to around 29kg. And yes, you can feel it.
Changing poses doesn’t feel like a workout. Swapping outfits becomes easier. Even carrying her from one room to another feels more manageable than many full-size silicone dolls we’ve tested.
That’s especially useful for collectors who enjoy taking photos regularly.
The body still feels premium and substantial. Just without the exhausting part.
Real Skin Texture (RST) Delivers Excellent Visual Detail
The RST option adds another layer of realism to the overall presentation.
Up close, you start noticing subtle surface details across much of the body. The effect stands out around the neck, shoulders, collarbone area, and upper legs.
Under brighter lighting, the difference becomes easier to appreciate. The silicone reflects light in a softer, more natural way rather than appearing perfectly smooth. Not every area shows the same level of texture, though.
The chest and inner thighs appear slightly smoother because those spots experience more contact and movement. Makes sense. One detail we appreciated was the restrained use of veins. Since Aries leans toward fantasy styling, heavy vascular effects might have felt out of place.
Instead, the body keeps a clean, polished appearance that matches the character concept very well.
Softness Is Easily One of Aries’s Strongest Features
If Aries has a standout quality, softness is probably at the top of the list.
The first thing we noticed was the chest. Thanks to the gel-filled design, it compresses naturally and returns to shape smoothly, creating a remarkably lifelike feel. It’s the kind of detail you appreciate right away.
What surprised us even more, though, was how consistent the softness feels across the entire body.
Some dolls focus softness in one area while leaving the rest noticeably firmer. Aries doesn’t follow that pattern. The arms, torso, and especially the thighs all maintain a plush, comfortable feel that makes handling the doll genuinely enjoyable.
The thighs deserve a special mention. They highlight the combination of Doll Senior’s silicone formula and weight-reduction design particularly well.
Odd comparison, maybe. But imagine lightly pressing into fresh bread beneath realistic skin. That’s honestly the closest way to describe it. The material gives easily, then slowly returns to shape without feeling artificial.
The only small drawback is that the silicone can feel a bit oily compared to some other brands. Fortunately, a quick dusting of baby powder brings back that smooth, silky finish almost instantly.
Skeleton Performance and Posability
Looks matter, of course, but a doll also needs to move well. Thankfully, Aries performs impressively here.
The internal skeleton feels stable and balanced, with joints that move smoothly throughout the body. During testing, we never encountered areas that felt excessively tight or frustrating to adjust.
One feature that really stood out was the articulated finger system.
Each finger can be positioned independently, giving collectors plenty of flexibility for photography and display poses. Better yet, the fingers offer a wider bending range than many competing systems currently available.
The larger joints—including the shoulders, elbows, wrists, hips, knees, and ankles—also move predictably and hold positions reliably.
For photography enthusiasts, this makes a noticeable difference. Switching between poses feels quick, simple, and surprisingly enjoyable.
Final Verdict
Final Thoughts: Is Doll Senior Aries Worth It? So, after spending real time with Aries, what’s the verdict? Yeah, we get the hype.
The Zodiac Series feels different from most releases we’ve seen lately. A lot of brands focus on realism alone, but Doll Senior decided to build something with more character. Literally.
The themed eye design, the makeup style, and the fantasy-inspired look all help Aries stand out without feeling overdone.
That’s probably what surprised us most.
She looks unique, but she never feels impractical.
Then there are the features that make everyday ownership easier. The softness is excellent. The weight reduction genuinely helps. And getting a second head included in the promotion adds a lot more value than people might expect.
At around $2,500, Aries sits in a pretty attractive spot for a premium silicone doll, especially with the free head promotion still available.
If you’re into fantasy themes, anime-style characters, or something that feels less conventional, Aries is definitely worth a closer look.
For us, two things kept standing out. The softness. And those eyes.
With Capricorn and Virgo already released, we’re now curious to see where the Zodiac Series goes next.
Maybe your sign is coming.
Would you buy it if it did?
