Doll Lab Ep. 59: Fanreal Mirella Review – Stunning Realism, Massive J-Cup Curves & Unexpected Surprises
I’ve reviewed several Fanreal dolls over the last few months, and honestly, the company keeps getting better. Every new release seems a little more polished than the one before. So when the Fanreal Mirella arrived, I was curious. Would she feel different enough to stand out?
At first, she looks like what you’d expect from Fanreal Doll: premium silicone, great makeup work, and plenty of realistic body details. But after spending some time looking over the sculpt, testing the articulation, and checking the overall build quality, it became pretty clear that Mirella has a few tricks of her own.
Specifications and First Impressions
Mirella stands 166 cm (5’5″) tall and weighs roughly 36 kg (79.4 lbs). Her body shape is slim and feminine, with long arms, long legs, and a very noticeable J-cup bust.
The proportions definitely grab attention. Her small waist and lean frame make the chest stand out even more. Some people will think the contrast is dramatic, maybe even a bit extreme, while others will love the glamorous look.
That’s really the point. Fanreal wasn’t chasing perfect realism here. They were aiming for something bold and visually striking.

Two Head Options: Different Materials, Different Personalities
One thing that immediately caught my attention was the inclusion of two versions of the same head.
The facial sculpt stays exactly the same, but the materials change the overall feel quite a bit. The hard silicone head comes with implanted hair, while the ROS version uses a wig. Both include implanted eyebrows and eyelashes, which helps keep the appearance looking premium.
The ROS head feels softer and offers more flexibility because of its movable mouth design. The hard silicone version goes in a different direction. It tends to photograph exceptionally well thanks to its firmer structure and sharper facial definition.
Even so, Fanreal didn’t ignore the details. The hard silicone head still includes visible teeth and tongue structures inside the mouth, which adds another layer of realism for close-up photos. Nice touch.
Makeup Quality and Facial Realism
Honestly, Fanreal rarely disappoints when it comes to makeup, and Mirella is no exception.
The makeup blends together really well. The eyeshadow, blush, and lip color all work naturally, so the face never looks overly painted or fake.
What’s interesting is how much lighting changes things. Under soft light she looks sweet and elegant. Switch to stronger lighting, and suddenly the face feels bolder and more dramatic. Pretty cool.
Add in the realistic eye placement and smooth skin transitions, and you’ve got a face that looks believable from almost every direction.
Body Makeup and Skin Texture
Fanreal’s body detailing is one of the reasons collectors keep coming back.
Mirella has skin texture across the whole body, not just in the obvious places. The detailing continues through the arms, chest, thighs, knees, and even smaller hidden sections.
Look closer and you’ll notice tiny wrinkles, skin patterns, and surface variations. Little things. They add up.
The hands and feet are especially impressive. Knuckles, veins, tendons, wrinkles, and finger joints are all sculpted directly into the silicone. For close-up photography, these details really help sell the realism.
Softness and Tactile Experience
Different parts of Mirella feel very different from one another.
The arms have a nice balance of firmness and softness. They’re comfortable to handle and pose well.
The chest is definitely the star here. The gel-filled J-cup breasts feel extremely soft, compress naturally, and move very realistically. It’s one of the doll’s strongest features.
The legs are firmer. Not bad, just noticeably different. I’ve seen the same thing with other Fanreal dolls, and it probably comes from the lightweight foam materials used inside the body.
The buttocks land somewhere in between. Softer than the legs thanks to the gel filling, but not quite as soft as the chest.
Skeleton Performance and Posability
Mirella uses Fanreal’s EXP skeleton, and overall it does a good job.
The joints arrive fairly tight, which helps keep poses stable. At the same time, they don’t feel overly stiff.
Sitting, kneeling, arm movement, and leg positioning all work without requiring a wrestling match. Thankfully.
The skeleton balances support and flexibility nicely, making the doll suitable for display and photography alike.
If you’re someone who changes poses often, you’ll probably enjoy working with this framework.
An Unexpected Discovery
So, here’s something that came up during testing.
This particular Mirella was actually marked as a flawed unit because of a skeleton alignment problem from production. When I applied pressure around the thighs and stomach area, some odd wrinkles showed up. Since this doll turned out to be defective, I won’t be giving it a rating.
The good news is that the silicone wasn’t the problem. The issue seemed to come from the skeleton underneath. Since some joints weren’t perfectly aligned, certain movements caused folding that looked a little unnatural.
Does that mean all Fanreal dolls have this issue? Definitely not. Still, manufacturing mistakes happen, even with premium brands. It happens.
Final Verdict
Overall, Mirella delivers many of the qualities collectors expect from Fanreal. The makeup is excellent, the skin texture is among the most realistic I’ve seen, and the attention to detail throughout the doll is impressive.
The large J-cup chest won’t be for everyone, and the firmer legs may divide opinions. There are also occasional quality-control concerns to consider. Even so, those drawbacks don’t outweigh the doll’s many strengths.
At around $2,500, buyers also receive attractive extras such as a free second head, upgraded head painting, ultra-soft options, and other bonuses.
For collectors who care most about realism, visual appeal, and detailed craftsmanship, Mirella remains one of Fanreal’s more interesting and memorable releases.

Thanks for another great review. I agree with you on the J cup. It is so hard to really have these large breasts and look proportionally correct. I think this is the first time I’ve seen an EXP skeleton demonstration. It is good to hear they are not too tight. I wonder if they loosen a lot over time.
