[Doll Lab Ask Me Anything] EP.11 Replay: Inside the Brands: Leo on Irontech, Real Lady, Sigafun & Erovenus
Every doll has a story long before it reaches a collector. From the first sketch to the final quality check, the journey of creating a lifelike companion is filled with challenges, innovations, and artistic passion.
Join Starry from Doll Lab for an exclusive, in-depth live conversation with Leo, the visionary founder and driving force behind four of the industry’s most recognizable and beloved brands: Irontech, Real Lady, Sigafun, and Erovenus. This is not just a standard interview; it is a deep dive into the heart of the premium doll industry. We will explore the journey, the evolution, and the uncompromising craftsmanship that bring these iconic brands to life, straight from the man who leads the vision.
Here are the biggest takeaways from this insightful conversation.
From Consumer Electronics to Realistic Dolls
Funny enough, Leo didn’t actually start in the doll business.
He spent years working with consumer electronics and adult products before moving into realistic dolls more than ten years ago. Back then, buyers wanted much more realistic products, but many dolls had odd body shapes, average finishing, older materials, and skeletons that weren’t always dependable. Plenty of room to improve.
So instead of copying what already existed, Leo decided to build something different by mixing engineering, design, and artistic detail.
Understanding What Collectors Really Want
Here’s something Leo has learned over the years.
Collectors aren’t all looking for the same thing. Some want maximum realism. Others enjoy taking photos, dressing dolls, collecting different models, or simply having a relaxing hobby. Some even discover these interests only after buying their very first doll.
That’s why his team tries to create products that feel practical while also making ownership enjoyable.
Breaking Common Misunderstandings
The conversation also touched on a common misconception.
People outside the hobby sometimes assume every owner buys dolls for identical reasons. They don’t.
Collectors come from many backgrounds. Some are photographers, some are artists, some enjoy customization, while others appreciate privacy or companionship. Every collection tells a different story.
Innovation Means Solving Real Problems
Throughout the interview, Leo repeatedly emphasized that successful innovation isn’t about adding flashy features.
Using the example of heating technology, he explained that his team won’t release a feature simply because it’s technically possible. Instead, new technology must genuinely improve the user experience. Heating, for example, must reach a comfortable temperature quickly, maintain softness, and remain reliable before it’s ready for production.
His philosophy is simple: technology should solve meaningful problems rather than exist for marketing purposes.
The Precision Behind Manufacturing
The conversation also gave viewers a rare look inside the production process.
Leo described silicone pouring as one of the most demanding manufacturing steps. Creating gel-filled breasts or buttocks requires multiple pouring stages, different silicone formulas, and carefully controlled temperatures, humidity, and timing. Even a small mistake can affect the finished product.
This level of precision explains why specialized climate-controlled production rooms are essential for maintaining consistent quality.
That’s the fun part. Collectors are not just buying something and leaving it untouched. They style hair, pick clothes, create poses, and take photos. It’s similar to customizing figures or building models. The owner’s personality becomes part of the final result.
Listening to Customer Feedback
Several real customer stories demonstrated how feedback directly influences product development.
One example involved the company’s AI system. Early versions activated “erotic mode” too frequently, but customer feedback showed that users preferred more natural conversations. After redesigning the interaction system, overall satisfaction improved significantly.
Another memorable story came from a visually impaired customer who praised the AI experience while suggesting better accessibility for the companion app. That feedback encouraged the development team to think more broadly about inclusive design.
Why Four Different Brands?
Many viewers were curious why Leo created four separate brands instead of one.
He explained that each serves a different audience:
- Irontech focuses on a balanced, all-around premium experience.
- Real Lady specializes in ultra-realistic body design, using data collected from hundreds of real body scans to achieve exceptional realism.
- Sigafun provides an affordable, beginner-friendly option without sacrificing quality.
- Erovenus concentrates on high-end silicone torso products for customers looking for a more compact experience.
Rather than competing with one another, these brands complement different user preferences.
Looking Ahead: Lightweight Technology and IronAI
The interview concluded with a preview of future developments.
Leo introduced the company’s new Super Lightweight Technology, which reduces body weight by approximately 18% while maintaining realism, softness, and durability. Lighter dolls make handling, posing, and daily use much easier without compromising quality.
He also discussed the upcoming IronAI Ecosystem, featuring the EIB101 AI Core alongside new interactive technologies designed to create more responsive and immersive user experiences.
For Leo, the future isn’t simply about adding electronics—it’s about making interactions feel more natural and meaningful.
