Customer Story: Unboxing and First Impressions of My New RosemaryDoll

Shopping for a doll can be an overwhelming experience, but RosemaryDoll made it enjoyable and straightforward. Their website is well-organized, with plenty of factory photos and detailed specifications for each model. It’s easy to filter by brand, material, height, weight, and other criteria, which is a feature that sets them apart from many other vendors. However, I would love to see a comparison tool in the future that allows customers to compare three or four models side by side.

Initially, I had my eye on the Irontech 148, but customer service informed me that the options I selected were not possible and would result in a higher cost. I appreciated their honesty, even though it meant going back to the drawing board. I eventually decided on an AngelKiss model, drawn by the New Year promo that included two heads. Although I was initially worried that the #198 head would be too similar to the #45 head, I was pleasantly surprised to find that they are distinct, with the #45 head quickly becoming my favorite.

I placed my order for the 157cm AngelKiss on February 18th. The entire process, from order confirmation to delivery, took 51 days—much quicker than the 65+ days I had anticipated. When my doll arrived, she was in perfect condition, a testament to RosemaryDoll’s excellent shipping practices.

Shipping Experience

The box arrived in excellent shape, wrapped securely in plastic with only minor tears and a small oil stain—likely from the shipping process. Customs didn’t even open the box, as all seals and tape were intact. The packing was the best I’ve seen in over 10 years and 10 dolls. The box was reinforced with thin plywood panels and lined with foam blocks for added stability. The doll herself was wrapped in a large mesh bag and a soft, microfiber blanket. Additional items, like wigs, clothing, and accessories, were neatly packed inside.

Heads

Both heads that came with the doll are beautiful, firm silicone. The #45 head, which I’ve named Olivia, is my favorite, with expressive eyes and a matte finish. However, her teeth’s paint has already faded after washing, so I’ll be ordering a new teeth and tongue set. The #198 head, which I’ve named Cassandra, was supposed to have a moveable jaw, but unfortunately, it does not. Despite this, both heads feature implanted eyebrows and easy-move eyes, adding to their realism.

Body

The body is practically perfect, weighing in at a manageable 68lbs with an excellent balance of curves, weight, and realistic details. The LHP is in perfect position, and she has articulated fingers and hardened silicone hands. While the transition from firm to soft silicone is noticeable, it’s not a deal-breaker. The reinforced standing feet, though not what I initially ordered, are a welcome addition for longevity. Her skin has a lovely matte finish with detailed veins and blushes, and the joints move smoothly with just the right amount of tension.
